Posted: 06 Sep 2010 at 7:44pm. I just bought this 3500 engine with 87hrs showing on the meter. It was on a water pump owned by a town. It has a MINIMEC (simms) inline pump and a variation of the newer 670 oil cooler. The manual with the engine says it's a on highway engine (truck) and shows this pump. I don't anything to identify it any better.

8.3 or 5.9 L cummins engines are good engines but they will not out perform or out live the 426. The AC engine was a very good strong built motor that did have some flaws, but the cummins engine has many flaws itself. In a Dodge pick up the 5.9 lives a long life in a heavy duty application they do not.

Brother put a 460 loader on a D19, he used 500 loader brackets. Looks factory. A loader that size if used heavy will eventually break the tractor in two if it doesn't have rear axle connection. I've fixed two 185's and a 200 that had Koyker loaders on them. Broke in half right thru the belt pulley hole.
