Unfortunately, engine in 7060 has gone and have an 8.3 cummins engine to put in it. Bought an adaptor kit from Leamans tractors. The oil pan on this engine has a front mounted suction pipe. I've had to reverse the oil pan for it to fit because it hits the front axle. When it is reversed the other end of the oil pan is very shallow and the oil ...

7060 3 point hitch problem. Story is, the 3 pt has not been on this tractor since it was new. Was taken off by the original owner, it still has paint on and in the rear hitch balls..now it's back on.. Problem is,it is either 'up' or 'down', there is no in between, also this valve sticks, and will not go down until the lower plunger is pushed ...

Made a noise. I have an Allis Chalmers 160, and she has been a good for an extremely long time. I had a steering issue, which took me a little time (6 months to deal with) but was resolved, I had my power steering pump rebuilt. Then about a week ago I did have a hydraulic leak, big one, in the rear, one of the hydraulic lines ends broke ...

Our '58 D-14 was one of the tractors that Jack (Ky) mentioned; eliminated the "jumping out of third gear" by adjusting the detents. That was four years ago; worked great ever since. Jack also added power steering to our D-14 by adding a Charlyn torque generator and a small hydraulic pump, it also works great. Sponsored Links.

For instance, the AC sales brochure for the 300, 405, 500, 505, 701, & 1000 is labeled FE-379/668, on it's back cover page. I assume FE-379/668 to mean Field Equipment 379, printed 1966, August. This makes sense, since these running gears all contain the newer 1965 triangle AC logo decal & a white background ALLIS …

Anyway the distance the front bottom landside is from the left face of the rear tire sets the width of dirt plowed by the front bottom which should be the rated plow width. It depends on your spoil condition, but your WD should be able to pull a 3 bottom plow. I pull a 53 plow in 3rd gear, with my WD45.

Easy to put on or remove and it's the only one that allows traction booster to work as it was intended. Top link of 3 point goes down to 3 point conversion rather than to tractor. Makes the implement work just like a snap coupler. I can't tell a difference between a snap coupler plow and 3 point plow with this style hitch.

Had a 160 for about 20 years, never had a problem with the 3 point lift system, but did have the main hydraulic filter mostly plug up. The filter is located in a metal housing laying horizontal underneath the fuel tank on the right side of tractor. I believe you have to remove a side panel to access.

Lot of heavy steel would need to be bent and/or welded properly to get it right. Allis plows 50, 60 70, and 80 families used he same plow frame for both hitches, just bolted on the different hitch parts for snap coupler or three point. Details show in the parts book referenced in AC Plows 101 over in the Knowledge Forum.

There is a lot of knowledge here. I personally have 3 D14s and absolutely love them. Unfortunately, AC was late joining the 3 point hitch game. The D15 (which succeeded the D14) had a 3 point as an option, but was pretty flimsy. For a good rugged 3 point hitch set up, you would want a Series 4 D17 - a considerably larger and more …

6080 3pt controls. Still trying to get the 3pt height control to work right. I read the manual again, it says for position control the traction booster lever should be all the way back. When it is, my position control lever does nothing. When I move the traction control lever into the 'traction booster' range it shakes the whole tractor violently.

I used the Tribco Kevlar lined 70261212 in my 190XT III and am very happy with it. The part number for the Tribco 7000 series Clutch is 700-153. This is .153 thick vs .120 for Part #700. I guess this is probably a pretty technical question, but I really don't know how the power director actually works.

Posted: 25 May 2022 at 9:36pm. I've got a new 3 wire delco alternator from Napa on my 7050 that was over charging the other day, and it fried my stereo and pegged the temp gauge. Anyone else have problems with these new alternators and is there a fix, buying a new baler and don't want to fry the monitor. TIA.
